A nice little place in the country

We try to offer the kind of hospitality that we like to receive ourselves:  A friendly welcome, a cup of tea and a piece of cake, some helpful advice, someone to book a table at a recommended pub or suggest a nice walk.  And then to be left in peace to enjoy it all.  If you're staying in The Hen House we are around if you need us, but otherwise you will be left to enjoy your holiday.  If you are staying for Bed & Breakfast you might enjoy the following...

Somewhere To Relax

The guests' sitting room is a tranquil television free room.  Lots of books, some dominoes, a pack of cards and some trivia games and, for the more talented, a piano.  But most importantly there are comfy sofas and chairs and a lovely woodburning stove.  And why not finish off your evening by the fire with a drop of our homemade damson vodka?

Spending The Evening In

After a long journey the last thing you want to do is get in the car again to go to eat.  So we can offer you a lovely platter of local meats, cheeses, breads and pickles to have in your sitting room or if it is a lovely evening maybe in the garden by the brook or in the woods.  In the winter you can enjoy some of Sarah's homemade soup and a juicy MuddyBoots burger. We have some lovely local cider to go with it too. 

Lazy Mornings

We're not fans of the usual B&B tea tray in your room.  Maybe we're just lazy but we would really love someone to bring us a cup of tea to our bedroom door instead.  So that is what we do for you.

Breakfast is served any time in the morning.  Just tell us the night before when you would like to come down. 

We're just a nice little place in the country and that's how we want you to remember us!
