Self Catering at Brook Farm
A nice
little place in the country
We have two one bedroom cottages: the
Hen House and the Hop Picker's House which are available for self-catering
breaks of two nights or more. All you need for your first breakfast (and probably your second) is
provided in your welcome hamper of our own eggs and lovely local fare.
In summer a platter of local meats and
cheeses can be provided for the night you arrive; in winter you can have some
homemade soup and your choice of burger. You can also ask us to order a box of organic vegetables to go with them. Just let us know
what you need and we will sort it!

The
Accommodation
Linen and towels are
provided, as well as locally made soap and other natural
toiletries. The kitchens are fully equipped and essentials
such as salt, pepper, oil and garlic are provided as is an
initial supply of tea, coffee and sugar. Both cottages are
centrally heated and have Freeview TV, a DVD player, and
wifi for doing your emails and browsing.
The Hen House
The Hen House is the
smaller of the two cottages and is attached to the old Hop Kiln,
and has a lovely bedroom, a big bathroom with bath and
shower, and a long open plan sitting room/kitchen.

The Hop Picker's
House
The Hop Pickers' House is much bigger than The Hen House and is on
two floors. It has a farmhouse style kitchen with rocking chairs
next to the wood
burner downstairs and a huge bedroom with four poster bed and a sofa
snug open to the rafters upstairs.
There's also a bathroom with bath and walk in shower. It has only just been finished
and we have taken a few snaps to give you a flavour of
the place. More photographs will follow soon.

Pets
We have two dogs, two
donkeys, three sheep and a multitude of cats, so cat friendly
and well-behaved dogs are also welcome in both cottages. They must be fully
housetrained.

The
Surroundings
We would like you to have a truly
relaxing time here at Brook Farm, enjoying the peace and quiet of this part of the country and the privacy of
nearly nine acres of gardens, meadows and and woods.
We have made a 'barbecue
spot' in the field at the end of our patch, about 5
minutes walk from the Cottages' front doors, sited to get the last of the
evening sun. A good place for a glass of wine, or a famous local
Ludlow sausage or two. There are bikes to borrow, walks from the door... More
If you want to explore
further afield, there are plenty of places to see, gardens to visit,
restaurants and pubs to try ...
